Colonel larry reeves, USA (Ret.)
Throughout his 27 years of service as an Army Officer, Larry served in multiple leadership and staff positions. From scout platoon leader in Desert Storm to service on both the Joint Staff and Army Staff, as well as many jobs in between, he spent the majority of his career in combat units. Among his tours of duty included deployments to Saudi Arabia, Haiti, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Larry has served as a coach/consultant at the Army’s National Training Center, as the chief of training for a 15,000-person organization, and as the operations officer for an 800-person Task Force in Iraq.
While serving on higher level staffs in the Pentagon and later in Afghanistan, Larry was a key member of the team responsible for planning the Iraq Surge and for the drawdown of both U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan. Larry commanded the Army unit responsible for training armor soldiers, and over two years trained 3000 Soldiers that served directly in combat. Larry’s final job was as the Deputy Director of the Army Resiliency Directorate, responsible for managing a $260M Soldier welfare program for Suicide Prevention and Substance Abuse.
Following retirement, Larry completed executive coaching certification through the University of Georgia and is an active spouse supporting his military (Air Force) wife. Larry is also a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
