John graduated with an engineering degree from the United States Military Academy in 1985, and commissioned to serve in the US Army in the Aviation Branch.  He served as a platoon leader, S-3 Air for a Cavalry Squadron, and Bell JetRanger helicopter instructor pilot.  He transitioned from the Army shortly after Desert Storm in 1991 and joined Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA on the Air Force’s premier F-22 Fighter Jet program.

John has worked for Lockheed Martin for 25 years on both the F-22 Fighter and C-130J program, most recently as the Program Director to the United States Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Kuwait Air Force C-130J Programs where he had P&L responsibility for everything from aircraft procurement, proposal negotiations/contracting, engineering requirements, supply chain, production, post production modifications, and sustainment of the aircraft after delivery.

John received many accolades during his tenure at Lockheed Martin, most notably where he delivered 22 aircraft ahead of schedule over a five-year period, led the team to outfit the Marine Corps KC-130J Tanker with Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Hellfire missile capability, and also renegotiated the first C-130J Multiyear contract for a 39 aircraft, multibillion dollar program.  This contract award earned his team Lockheed Martin’s highest award that year, and was a big catalyst in continuing to keep the C-130J aircraft production line program going to this day, 60+ years and running.

John recently became certified as a John Maxwell Leadership trainer and continues to enjoy helping individuals grow personally and professionally.  He is active in his local church through discipleship small groups and actively participates in CrossFit and running marathons.
